New federal law to affect the 2018 boating season

The Kentucky Department of Vehicle Regulation is alerting boaters of a recent change in federal law regarding the registration and renewal process for vessels.

Beginning January 2018, boat owners will need to verify all Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) when renewing or applying for new registrations. Kentucky State Police Post 11, London is hosting the 2nd annual 2017 Trooper Jason Vanhook Memorial Bass Tournament on Saturday, April 01, 2017. It will be held at the Conley Bottom Resort boat ramp located at 270 Conley Bottom Road Monticello, KY.

Blast off at safe light, weigh-in at 4:00 PM. Entry fee is $100.00 per boat ( 2 people per boat ) with a 5 fish limit. Payout will be determined by number of entries. You can pre-register in person at Post 11, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Basketball fans from across Kentucky are making the drive to Indianapolis for opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament to see their teams in action. The University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and Northern Kentucky University play Friday. For many drivers, it will be their first trip across new and improved tolled bridges.
