The Madison Southern Cheerleaders will be leaving Wednesday night (2-6-13) for Nationals in Orlando Florida. Only 24 other teams in KY will be there.

The National High School Cheer leading Championship (NHSCC) is the most prestigious cheer leading championship in the country. The NHSCC is held at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, and nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year.

The 2013 Championship will be held February 9 – 10 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Sausage Making Class for Hunters and Home Enthusiasts – Tuesday, February 5th, 6:00-8:00pm

Learn how to make great tasting sausages without wasting your time and money. The class will cover critical aspects of food handling, food safety, and sausage making. You will learn safe and efficient processing techniques along with tricks of the trade.

Includes: Demonstration on making breakfast sausage patties and links. Information on types of meats, grinding techniques, appropriate ingredients, casing types, smoking and cooking times, and safe cooling procedures; packaging and shelf-life; stuffing and twist-linking fresh or smoked sausage will be available.

Instructor: Henry Hawkins, hunter and retired journeyman meat cutter.
Class cost is $5.00 each, and class size is limited. To register, call 623-4072.
