On Tuesday, September 18, the Madison Central Lady Indians & Madison Southern Lady Eagles Volleyball Teams would like to invite both schools and Madison County communities to come out and support not only your favorite team, but a very important cause: FIGHTING CANCER!!!

On the night of the game, your donations, a portion of the gate receipts, and money made from a silent auction will be split between the two schools. Items in the auction include: blankets, Pampered Chef items, salon supplies & jewelry. In addition, Hopper’s Jewelry Store is going to offer cash for gold.
Money for Madison Central will go to the Tammy Hooper Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of a fantastic physics teacher who passed away this summer from cancer.

Money for Madison Southern will go to the Central Baptist Cancer wing in (more…)

Angie Halstead and Tom Shelton Win Member/Guest At Berea Country Club

Last weekend, Angie Halstead and Tom Shelton played some great golf to win Berea Country Club’s Member/Guest. They shot a great 126 for the two days of play. Craig Halstead and Brian Ponder came in Second with a 130.

In the First Flight there was an exciting two hole playoff to come up with the winner. Mark and Nick Bowling won the flight with Mason and Josh Anglin coming in Second. The Second Flight was won by Mark Thomason and David (more…)

Lincoln Test Drive Event

The Madison Southern Volleyball and Baseball Teams are doing a Lincoln test drive event at Southern September 15th, from 8-4. Each test drive earns $20, so while you’re out and about today, make sure to swing by and test drive a new Lincoln!

Berea Country Club VS Blue Grass Army Depot

Berea Country Club retains the Ryder Cup in 2012 Whitney Maupin, President.

August 25 and 26, Berea Country Club and Blue Grass Army Depot competed in their annual Ryder Cup Tournament. The first day was played at BGAD and it was tied at the end of the day. Sunday, the Berea Boys brought their “A” games and at the end of the day they had won 15 ½ to 8 ½.

Nick Bowling was the President of the BGAD golfers and Whitney Maupin was the President for Berea Country Club. These fellows always do an awesome job of getting the players and keeping tabs on everything.

MSHS Homecoming 2012

Member/Member Tournament at Berea Country Club

Twenty-four members played in the Member/Member Tournament on August 18 and 19, 2012. It was a great weekend for golf and it reflected in the scores. The Champions were Jim Tillery and Ned McAfee with 133.

Second were Gary Rose and Danny Crawford with 134. Danny also had the closest to the pin on number two on Saturday.

The First Flight was won by Sam and Jeanne McConnell, with a142. Jeanne also had the most accurate drive on number six.

Pnut Johnson and his partner came in Second with a 144. It was a great tournament and everyone had a fun time and that’s what it’s all about!
