MCHS Baseball Team to Host Teacher Appreciation Night



Madison Central High School baseball team will be hosting Teacher Appreciation Night (May 7th) as they take on the Tates Creek Commodores.

Admission will be free to all school employees (you may be asked to show your school ID).

The JV game begins at 5:30 p.m. Drawings will be held for prizes between innings during the Varsity game which is scheduled to begin at 7:30.

Just before the Varsity game, be sure to be watching as a few of our players introduce the MVPs of their school years.

MUSA 01 Gold Flyers traveled to Columbus, Ohio the weekend of April 20-21st to participate in the Club Ohio Nike Challenge cup. In Saturday’s two opening contests, the Flyers combined aggressive offense and organized defense to defeat the JR. Irish girls and the ZYSA Green Team by 3 – 0, setting up the semifinal match on Sunday morning against the Grove City Crush. The Madison United Soccer Association’s (MUSA) select team (under 10 Gold) participated in the Nike Challenge Cup in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend.

The Nike Challenge Cup is one of the biggest tournaments in Ohio. The team played in the top under 10 division and placed 2nd. They lost to a team from Cleveland, OH.

This team has either won or came in 2nd in the last three major tournaments they have played in. This is an incredible accomplishment for the boys and their coach (Jeremy Anderson).

Senate Passes McConnell-Paul Resolution Commending University of Louisville Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks Monday after the University of Louisville Cardinals won the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship:

“Congratulations to Coach Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team for their triumphant march to the 2013 NCAA National Championship. Cards fans will always remember this historic season. This team won the Big East Tournament, made a second consecutive trip to the Final Four, and inspired the nation the way they came together to win their last two games for their injured teammate, Kevin Ware. They truly deserve this victory, and Kentucky is proud of them. Go Cards!”
