Nannie Alice Bonadio (Wylie), age 88, of Dayton, formerly of Garrard County, passed away Sunday May 1, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. She was the former owner of Bonadios Restaurant at the corner of Xenia Ave. & Steele, a charter member of FOE Auxiliary #3031 (Wayne Ave). Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. in 1978; parents, George & Laura (Creech) Wylie; infant grandson, Daniel Joseph OKeeffe in 1967; sisters, Ruby Harold & Ruth Edester; brothers, Sam & Henry Wylie; and son-in-law, Ted Moraites. Nannie is survived by her daughters, Mary Toni Moraites, Laura Bonnie Rowe & her husband Tom, & Lula Connie Flynn; sisters, Maudie Neeley, Laura Ambrosio, Hazel (Ray) Sparks,Shirley Cheeks; brothers, Tom & James Wylie; grandchildren & their spouses, Alexis & Jerry Blessing, Teddy & Angie Moraites, Dan OKeeffe, Christina OKeeffe, Mick Flynn, Angela & Josh Middleton, Matt Flynn; great grandchildren, Sophia Blessing, Nicholas, Michael & Reid Moraites, Allyson & Jason Middleton; other relatives & friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Reppert Funeral Home, 110 N. Broadway St., Berea, KY. Interment in Cartersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Thursday.

RICHMOND — Wilma Moody Lunceford, 76, of Richmond, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, in Central Baptist Hospital of Lexington. She was born February 15, 1935, in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Robert and Sylvia Moody. She lived most of her life in Madison County and was a member of Hays Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, David A. Lunceford; two daughters, Kathy Reece and husband James David Reece of Richmond, and Teresa Barnes and husband William “Billy” Barnes of Clarksville, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Christy Gabbard (Eric) and Tracy Barnes of Berea; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Barrett, Kelsie Barrett and Chase Gabbard of Berea.

She also leaves one sister, Mary Combs of New York, and one brother, Robert Moody, Jr. (Nancy) of Richmond, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Robert and Sylvia Moody of Red House, Wilma was preceded in death by two brothers, J.C. and Harold Moody, and one sister, Louise Johns.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home by Bro. Vincent Carmen and Bro. Bill Shelton. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens of Richmond. Friends may call between 5 and 9 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that donations be made in Wilma’s name to: Hays Fork Baptist Church Building Fund, 4447 Hays Fork Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.

BEREA — Todd Walters, 48, died March 18, 2011, in his residence. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Union Church in Berea.

Alma Williams

IRVINE — Alma Dee Berry Williams, 83, of Burton Williams Road in Irvine passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, in the Compassionate Care Center after a long illness. She was born February 11, 1928, in Clark County and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nancy Burch Berry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ivory Hill Baptist Church. She had lived in Estill County most of her life.

She is survived by: her husband, Charles Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Nancy Lou Held and husband, Mike of Richmond; one son, Charles T. “Tommy” Williams and wife, Barbara of Estill County; two sisters, Judy Hunt and husband, Walter of Winchester, and Mary Sue Crump and husband, R.G. of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, William Berry and wife, Arnita of Winchester and James Berry and wife, Geneva of Winchester; three grandchildren, Anthony Williams and wife, Tonya, Steven Held and Cindy Held; one great-grandchild, Hannah Mae Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: one brother, David Berry; and one grandchild, Rebecca Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Tommy Williams. Burial will be at Sally Poore Cemetery. Friends may call between 6 and 9 p.m. Saturday at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jean Woods, Matt Brandenburg, Dr. Harold Moberly, Richard Barnes, Jean Cooper, Sandy Barnes, Wallace Barnes, Jesse Barnes, Dave Barnes, Brian Barnes, Richie Barnes and Scottie Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Williams, Steve Held, Brian Berry, Philip Berry, Merrill Means and Douglas Means.

Carl A. Cates, 51, of Owsley Fork Road, Berea, died suddenly Thursday, May 5, 2011 at St. Joseph Lexington apparently of a heart attack. He was a life-long resident of Madison County born December 24, 1959, son of the late Arnold and Madeline VanWinkle Cates.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine White Cates; 1 son Carl Cates, Jr. and his financee Rebecca Searles; 1 brother, Tom Cates; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Graveside Service 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2011 at The Cates Family Cemetery with Bro. Vester Alexander and Bro. Artie Alexander officiating. Visitation from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM Sunday at Reppert Funeral Home.

RICHMOND — Teresa Marie White, 49, of Richmond, Ky., wife of Rick White, departed this life Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond, Ky.

Visitation for Mrs. White will be Friday, May 6, 2011, after 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Ky. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Johnny Dunbar, Brother J. S. New and Brother David Muse officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset.

Mt. STERLING — Roy Lee Roberts, Jr., 59, of Mt. Sterling, Ky., husband of Kathleen Gooch Roberts, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Mr. Roberts was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 4, 1951, to Roy Lee and Carol Phelps Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a retired truck driver. He was an avid fisherman and had a passion for riding motorcycles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two sons, Troy Lee Roberts (Dawn) of Fairfield, Ohio, and Michael Shane Roberts (Lisa) of Sharonville, Ohio; one daughter, Denisha Lyn Hasty (Craig) of Richmond; one brother, Terry Don Roberts (Barb) of Ohio; one sister, Tammy Benzinger (Paul) of Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Traven, Amanda, Darian, Shana, Savannah, Trinity and Xander Roberts, Auston and Shyanne Hasty, Richard and Sarah Ellison, Alexis Chacra and Austin Overbee; two great-grandchildren, Kaydince and Rylynn McColm; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws, as well as a host of close friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by: his father, Roy Lee Roberts, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. George Hall, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gooch Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2011, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Warren Gooch, Bill Gooch, Billy Hasty, Todd Thomas, Roy Roberts, Steve Anderson, Elbert Gooch and Lester Gooch.
