On February 9, 2017, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Dennis W. Gray, 41, on charges related to distribution and possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

DUI Arrest: On 01/30/2017 a traffic stop was conducted at Knight’s Inn on a vehicle that was weaving in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle showed several signs of impairment and several Gabapentin pills were eventually located in her purse.

The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 8:30 this morning in reference to a fatal collision that occurred on KY HWY-78 in Lincoln County.

The initial investigation indicates that Jamie M. Harrison, 43 years old of Stanford, KY, was driving east on HWY-78 in a 1994 Chevrolet Pickup Truck. Jamie Harrison lost control of his vehicle, causing it to travel off the roadway and overturn in a field. As a result of the collision, the driver’s wife, Bobbie J. Vehicle Pursuit: On 02/03/2017 just after 1:00pm, officers were called to Cumberland Valley Bank in reference to two people attempting to use a fraudulent credit card. While they were responding, dispatch received a notification of a bank alarm. KSP Post 7 to Conduct Traffic Safety Checkpoint

KSP

The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, which provides coverage for Madison, Clark, Estill, Lee, Owsley, Jackson, Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard and Jessamine counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual. These checkpoints will be conducted in an effort to enforce the traffic laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Special attention will be paid to occupant protection (seatbelt adherence), sobriety, insurance, and registration violations.

KSP Conducts Death Investigation in Jackson Co.

The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 10:00 pm last night in reference to a fatal shooting that occurred on D&M Loop Road in northern Jackson County.

KSP Post 7 Troopers and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and located a deceased man lying at the end of a driveway near D&M Road. Shoplifting Arrests: On 01/30/2017 officers were called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter in the store. A male subject attempted to leave the store with merchandise that he did not pay for. They eventually located the vehicle he was driving and spoke to a female occupant. She also had merchandise that he had shoplifted from the store, and she had previously been banned from the property.
